The Beijing Capital Airport cargo port has recently launched a "through direct transfer" mode. Under this new model, the process from domestic cargo landing to the completion of security checks at the export consolidation warehouse now takes only 4 to 8 hours, a reduction of over 20 hours compared to the original model. This has effectively enhanced the export cargo consolidation capacity of the Beijing Capital Airport port and improved the level of international logistics and supply chain services at the airport.

The "through direct transfer" mode allows domestic inbound cargo to be directly transferred under the aircraft to the export consolidation warehouse for international export operations. Previously, the process from cargo landing to international departure involved 10 steps, including domestic inbound, cargo breakdown, and cargo release. The new model streamlines some of these procedural steps, shortens cargo handling time, reduces time and economic costs for shippers, and promotes the rapid recovery and development of air cargo at Beijing Capital Airport.

Since the beginning of this year, the level of trade facilitation in the Beijing Capital Airport临空经济区 (Linkong Economic Zone) has been further optimized.

The Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone's Cross-Border Trade Facilitation Standardization Pilot, part of the seventh batch of national comprehensive standardization pilots for social management and public services, passed its final acceptance on August 23 after two years of construction. The pilot project adhered to the overall goal of "building a demonstration zone for high-level opening up and high-quality development, and a new highland for Beijing's opening up to the outside world." It actively integrated with characteristic functional platforms such as the National Import Trade Promotion and Innovation Demonstration Zone, the National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Healthcare), and the Airport-Type National Logistics Hub. This has promoted the development of the zone's characteristic healthcare industry and built an open policy system supported by trade facilitation and liberalization.

By formulating and implementing standards such as the "Service Time Requirements for the Airport Cargo Area" and the "Operation Specifications for Time- and Temperature-Sensitive Products in Primary Export Cargo Terminals in the Port Operation Area," the zone has filled a gap in China's current lack of drug cross-border trade standards explicitly themed around "cross-border trade," "customs clearance," and "facilitation," providing a reference for management in similar areas.

"The zone will fully leverage the combined advantages of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the临空经济区 (Linkong Economic Zone) to continuously advance high-level opening up, accelerate the implementation of major industrial projects, and promote the high-quality development of the临空经济 (airport economy)."
